Vauxhall Mokka review - high on kit, low on thrills - Interior and tech

Vauxhall Mokka sells well but key rivals are better

Evo rating
Price
from £17,590
  • Roomy, well-built, quiet 'Whisper Diesel' engine
  • Poor ride, inert steering, noisy petrol engines, can be pricey

Interior and Tech

The interior is a triumph of packaging given the compact exterior dimensions. The spacious cabin features a centre console based on the dash from the previous-generation Astra but there’s no Adam-like funkiness to be found here; something which crossover buyers can – and will want to – find elsewhere.

Cheap-feeling plastics are too easily encountered and while the boot isn’t huge compared to the cargo areas of rivals, its absolute maximum load space is 1372 litres with the rear seats folded away.

Tech features will be improved when the latest Mokka X debuts in October 2016, with the cheapest (Design Nav) models getting Vauxhall's IntelliLink 8-inch infotainment system as standard. We've used the system in other Vauxhall models and it should do much of what you ask of it.
