Nissan Juke Nismo unveiled

Hot on the heels of the supercar-beating Juke-R, Nissan has unveiled the Juke Nismo edition.

The Nissan Juke Nismo, a tuned version of the Standard Juke, is to be launched along side the much more outrageous Juke-R and DeltaWing at the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Although no power figures have been released, we do know that the engine will be a tuned version of the 187bhp 1.6-litre direct injection turbo engine. The chassis has been stiffened, and along with the addition of a torque-vectoring system, is said to keep the power in check.

Nismo, Nissan's in-house tuning house, has also created a bodykit for the Juke, which includes new front and rear bumpers, more muscular wheel-arch trims, and spoiler - with new 18-inch wheels.

This is complemented by a more sporty interior, with an upgraded steering wheel, sports gearknob and pedals, with Nismo-tune suede seats.

Built in the UK, the Juke Nismo is expected to go on sale in early 2013 throughout Europe,  shortly followed by the USA and Japan.
