Hamann SLS AMG

German tuner Hamann has given Merc's SLS AMG an aural and visual makeover. See the results here.

German tuning company Hamann has taken on the Mercedes SLS AMG, giving it a visual and aural overhaul.

The visual differences between the standard SLS and the Hamann come in the form of 21in ‘Design Edition Race Anodized’ alloys and a 30mm suspension drop.  This €10,500 (£8,900) option serves to make the SLS look even more hunkered down than the already sleek standard car, and according to Hamann increases stability in high-speed corners.

Audio improvements take the form of a stainless steel exhaust which allows the engine to exhale through twin 90mm pipes on each side.  Hamann hasn’t given any indication of increased power derived from the exhaust system, or even the price of the upgrade, but expect the V8 rumble to be mighty.

The SLS is the latest in a series of lightly fettled exotica by Hamann that includes the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Porsche 911.
