New Jaguar F-Type 75 editions revealed

This is Jaguar’s final update for the F-Type before retirement

Jaguar has revealed a light 2023 model year update for its F-Type sports car, precedeeding the model’s retirement in the next few years. Jaguar, as we know, is on a revolutionary path that will scrap its entire model range and transform the brand into a purely electric car manufacturer by 2025, calling an end to traditional combustion powered sports cars like the F-Type.

So before the reinvention, Jaguar’s giving its two-seater one final refresh, and launching special edition 75 models that celebrate 75 years of Jag’s sports car heritage. The special edition models are based on the three existing V8 specifications, and will include a range of bespoke detailing. The existing four-cylinder P300 retains its position as the entry-level model.

The 75’s styling changes are subtle, featuring a new silhouette insignia on the pop-out door handles and centre console. There’s a new Giola Green paint option, and a model-specific 20-inch wheel design, as well as other small changes to trim specifications across the interior.

Underpinning all these MY23 updates are hardware changes within the rear suspension. These include new cast aluminium suspension knuckles, larger wheel bearings and revised upper ball-joints that increase toe and camber stiffness. This is connected to a forged aluminium double wishbone setup at all four corners, with standard-fit adjustable dampers on both V8-powered 75 models. Four-cylinder cars retain a passive damper setup.

The supercharged 5-litre AJ-V8 will continue unchanged in its 444bhp and 567bhp forms, connected to the existing eight-speed transmission and rear- or all-wheel drive (the latter exclusively with four-driven wheels). The 567bhp F Type R 75 also comes with the option of Jaguar’s carbon ceramic brake package, signified by the yellow finish to the calipers.

The updated 2023 F-Type is available to order now, priced from £63,235 for the entry-level P300 and topping out at £102,870 for the flagship R 75. The changes apply to both coupe and convertible body styles, the latter carrying a £5590 premium.
