Young Driver scheme

Driving lessons offered to 11-16 year olds to cut accidents and improve behind the wheel skills

Young drivers have long been big contributors to road accident levels, especially where serious and fatal crashes are involved.

A new scheme has been launched to try and quell this, though, with driving lessons now offered for 11 to 16 year olds to prepare them for hitting the open road when they turn 17.

Young Driver is a training programme designed to improve the skills of younger people behind the wheel, with its key objectives to reduce youngsters’ accident rates as well as provide an exciting experience for kids who are no doubt clamouring to have a go in a car.

The car in question is a SEAT Ibiza 1.2, the Spanish firm being a scheme partner alongside Admiral Multicar insurance.

Lessons are available at weekends and during school holidays, with prices kicking off at £29 (inc VAT) for a half hour slot. All the Young Driver tutors are approved driving instructors, with special training to work with younger learners.

Find out more or book some instruction at www.youngdriver.eu or by calling 0844 371 9010. Places are currently available for October 30 and 31, too.
